She attended Oregon State University in Corvallis for undergrad. As an Animal Sciences major, Liz became involved with the OSU Equestrian Team. Realizing her love for horses, with the help of her mother, Liz purchased her first horse, an OTTB mare named Sethe. Liz and Sethe had many adventures around Corvallis exploring an extensive trail system and casually competing in dressage. Sethe is now enjoying the retired life living out in pasture in Loomis.

Dr. Howard graduated from Oregon State University with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2012. She and her husband, Travis, thought it would be fun to move to California in search of sunny, warm weather. Liz and Travis love living in Northern California and spending time hiking and camping with their dogs in Tahoe.

Dr. Howard completed a one year internship at LBEMC and has worked as an associate for the last 6 years. Dr. Howard spends most of her time working in Cool, CA and the Georgetown Divide. Her areas of professional interest include geriatric equine care, reproduction, pre-purchase exams, dentistry, and anesthesia.
