She wanted to become a veterinarian ever since she was 5 years old after she brought their dogs to a local vet who was very nice and always engaging. He even stitched up her stuffed animal dog with “real dog stitches” and made a major impact on Dr. Monmaney. She hopes to have that kind of impact on a young person who is interested in the profession someday.
It wasn’t until high school that she decided to be an equine vet, and had the opportunity for an externship with LBEMC through her high school’s ROP program.
Most clients love that she’s spent her entire career at LBEMC, first as a Vet Tech for 10 years before and during vet school, then as an intern doctor, and finally in her current role as an Associate. She received her B.S. in Animal Biology from UC Davis and her DVM from UC Davis.
Her professional interests include: General practice, client education, preventative medicine, and emergency care.
Outside of the clinic she loves cooking and most outdoor activities like: camping, hiking, fishing, and spending time with her family, friends, and her dogs.
