She especially enjoyed training OTT Thoroughbreds in their new careers in jumping or dressage. During and after college, JoAnna developed an affinity for international travel which led to her completing her veterinary degree at Massey University in New Zealand.
She took a short hiatus from working in NZ to complete a rotating equine internship at Steinbeck Country Equine Clinic in Salinas, CA and then a 6-month fellowship in internal medicine at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute.
She then spent several more years working in Canterbury, NZ before moving back stateside in 2020.
When she isn’t working, she is most often outdoors hiking, running, diving, or exploring new places with her partner and their dog Tux.
