Dr. Capua completed her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. She then went on to earn her DVM from Ross University, School of Veterinary Medicine – nestled on the beautiful island of St. Kitts and Nevis (which she now considers her second home.)
Living on a Caribbean island provided her with a unique perspective on the human-animal bond, a theme she hopes to further explore as she continues traveling around the world.
Her professional interests include equine general practice, lameness, and emergency care of all species. Outside of work, she enjoys horseback riding, snowboarding, traveling, and spending time outdoors with her rescue pup, Billie. Her dream is to sail around the world, treating as many animals as possible along the way!
